On Friday, November 8th 2024, Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Music Center in NYC, came alive with the sounds of American composers, unfolding before an eager audience.
A remarkable opening night of The Opera Tech, "A Celebration of Iconic American Composers", was led by Founder and Production Artistic Director Oriada Islami. The event offered a dynamic and vibrant program, taking the audience on a journey through a rich tapestry of performances that spanned opera, instrumental music, and dance.
The diverse lineup included the soaring voices of opera singers, soprano Danielle Walker and tenor David Morgans, who brought the stage to life, while the virtuosic clarinet of Igli Tuga added a unique instrumental flair. Maestro David Wroe conducted a 15-piece orchestra with remarkable energy, guiding the ensemble through each piece with both precision and passion. The evening also showcased the elegance of ballroom dance, with performances by elegant ballroom dancers.
